ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) - Nick Fairley is officially done for the rest of the football season.
On Wednesday, the Lions announced that Fairley has been placed on season-ending injured reserve after he suffered a shoulder injury against the Green Bay Packers.
Fairley, who finished the season with 5.5 sacks and 34 tackles, was drafted in 2011 out of Auburn.
The team has signed Michigan State University product Ogemdi Nwagbuo to fill the open roster spot.
The Lions are getting ready for their next contest against the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday, Dec. 22 at 8:30 p.m. inside of Ford Field. The game will be televised on WXYZ-TV (ABC).
