ALLEN PARK, Mich. - The Lions have been busy bringing in new faces this week, but their latest signing involves another one of their own returning to the team.
Offensive lineman Dylan Gandy, who can play center and guard, agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the team.
Gandy, 31, has spent the past four seasons in Detroit but hasn't started since 2009. That season, he started four times.
The Lions offensive line has is in the midst of a transition period, with Jeff Backus retiring, Gosder Cherilus signing with Indianapolis, and Stephen Petterman looking for work since being released early in the offseason.
Gandy will likely compete for a backup role.
