ALLEN PARK, Mich. - With only a day left until veterans are set to arrive at camp, the Lions have added a player to their roster.
Wide receiver Chaz Schilens signed a one-year deal Wednesday, after a workout with the team.
The five-year veteran spent last season with the New York Jets after four seasons with the Oakland Raiders. He had 28 receptions for 289 yards and two touchdowns in 15 games during the 2012 season.
In five seasons, Schilens has 100 catches for 1,191 yards and nine touchdowns.
Schilens worked out for the Lions along with Laurent Robinson, Steve Breaston, and Terrell Sinkfield.
