ALLEN PARK, Mich. - Calvin Johnson has every right to let the football world celebrate his record-breaking season on the stage of the Pro Bowl.
Not surprisingly, he'll pass on that.
For the second consecutive season, the Lions wide receiver will skip the Pro Bowl. Johnson nursed a variety of injuries throughout the season, and cites his health as the main reason for missing the NFL's annual All Star Game.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson will take his place.
Johnson set an NFL record for receiving yards in a single season, with 1,964 yards and five touchdowns this year.
He was also named a near-unanimous All-Pro last weekend.
Johnson said last month he plans to take his fellow wide receivers to Hawaii for the game for the second consecutive year.
