Manti Te'o visits Detroit Lions on Tuesday

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) - Manti Te'o didn't have his best performance in Notre Dame's BCS title game against Alabama in Miami, but that didn't stop the Lions from visiting with the Heisman Trophy runner-up on Tuesday.

According to reports, if Te'o were to drop into the second-round of the NFL draft -- the Lions would be interested.

Te'o, who has improved his 40-yard dash time from 4.82 seconds that he clocked in Indianapolis at the NFL combine to 4.71, told the Lions official web site that one game and workout shouldn't define his draft stock.

Two other players visited the Lions on Tuesday: former Michigan running back Mike Cox, who transferred to UMass, and ex-Cincinnati tight end Travis Kelce.
