ALLEN PARK, Mich. - Jeff Daniels made his annual pilgrimage to Lions practice on Monday.
The 'Newsroom' and 'Dumb and Dumber To' actor spent time watching his hometown team practice in its indoor facility.
Daniels said his life is going to take a turn for the busy, with the HBO show and sequel to the hit movie both set to debut this fall.
Calvin Johnson, Devin Taylor, Riley Reiff, and Joseph Fauria were among the players who visited with Daniels after practice.
Jim Caldwell talked with the actor before announcing "I think I have to go to work," and meet with reporters. An eager Fauria stood within earshoot, and jumped in, announcing, "I don't have to go to work!"
Daniels makes it a habit of visiting Lions practice during training camp, usually bringing family and friends along for the ride.
'Dumb and Dumber To' is scheduled to hit theaters on November 14, 2014.
