No contract for Suh after minicamp concludes

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Detroit Lions concluded their mandatory minicamp in Allen Park, where defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and first-round draft pick Eric Ebron still remain unsigned.

Over the past few months, there have reportedly been talks between Suh and Lions management about getting a new contract negotiated. Both sides have every intention of keeping the defensive tackle in Detroit, but both sides are still working on a deal.

Suh declined to talk with reporters for the second straight day.

Suh is in his final year of his rookie contract, and is scheduled to make $12.5 million this upcoming season. His $22.4 million cap is among highest in the league. If the Lions do not negotiate a new contract, they could lose him to free agency after the season.

With no space on the salary cap, the Lions will need to make space for Ebron. This will include either restructuring contracts or getting Suh signed to a new deal with a lower cap number.

Ebron has until the beginning of training camp to sign with the team.
