(WXYZ) - The Lions have escaped from the problem that is Titus Young, but Titus Young can't seem to escape trouble.
The former Lions wide receiver was arrested for the third time in a week..
Police say Young was arrested late Friday night in San Clemente, California. The 23-year old broke into a home before fleeing on foot when police officers arrived.
He then fought with officers, according to the San Clemente Sheriff's Department, before ultimately giving up. No injuries were cited.
Young faces charges of burglary, assaulting a police officer, and resisting arrest.
Young is still in jail as of Sunday afternoon and is expected to be arraigned on Monday or Tuesday.
Last Sunday, he was arrested twice within a period of 15 hours. Young was initially arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence just after midnight on Sunday in Moreno Valley, California. After he was booked, he was issued a citation and released from custody.
Shortly after 2:00pm, Young was spotted jumping over the fence of the impound lot where his car had been towed. He was allegedly attempting to claim his vehicle before being arrested again and charged with burglary.
The former second round pick faced numerous disciplinary issues since joining the team in 2011, including being suspended by the Lions for six games last season.
