ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) - Linebacker Stephen Tulloch, who says he's looking forward to seeing what the Lions can accomplish with the players they have inside of their defense, is optimistic that Detroit will make the right picks in the NFL draft.
In fact, Tulloch takes a lot of pride in doing his draft research as he anxiously awaits to see what Martin Mayhew and the organization decide to do.
"I study the game of football," said Tulloch. "I'm always on the Internet, you know, just checking out draft picks and seeing guys, their talents and what not. There's some good talented players out there.
"I know whoever this organization drafts at No. 5 [in the first-round] or if they trade down [or] whatever [they choose to do], they're going to make the best decision to help this team win."
When Tulloch was asked who his top five draft picks would be, he paused, smiled, and then shared his thoughts.
"Obviously the tackles are good, the corner is phenomenal out of Auburn. [The] BYU defensive end is a heck of a player," said Tulloch with a smile. "And a lot of people are sleeping on that kid out of Georgia at linebacker.
"There's a lot of good players out there. [Tavon] Austin out of West Virginia is a phenomenal player. He's a Percy Harvin kind of player. I could go on and on."
