(WXYZ) - Calvin Johnson is Calvin and Sean 'Diddy' Combs is Johnson.
In Nike's newest ad featuring the Lions star wide receiver, the All Pro walks through an empty room that quickly turns crowded as the voices in his head get louder.
That's when Combs, also known as Puff Daddy, emerges to save the day.

In an effort to keep Calvin's focus on football and 'getting faster,' Combs becomes 'Johnson.' That allows Calvin to worry only about 'Calvin.'
The ad grabs your attention, and sheds light on the Lions record-breaking wide receiver's real emotions towards the limelight. Johnson is admittedly shy with media attention. He's great to deal with once he talks, but in a perfect world he's said before he wishes he would never have to deal with media attention.
If the football thing doesn't work out, he could always fall back on acting.
