Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson has his sights set on the NFL's single-season receiving yardage record set by Jerry Rice in 1995.
To reach that mark, he'll have to pass the Lions all-time leading receiver along the way. Herman Moore posted 1,686 yards in that same 1995 campaign. Entering Saturday's game with Atlanta, Johnson is 19 yards behind Moore with 1,667.
In fact, Johnson's in position to pass five receivers (himself, Moore, Torry Holt, Marvin Harrison and Charley Hennigan) on the single-season yardage list if he posts just 80 yards receiving against the Falcons.
This Thursday, Herman sat down with Calvin at Lions headquarters to discuss Calvin's pursuit of Jerry Rice, his place in Lions history and what he thinks of the receivers that have come before him.
After the interview airs on Saturday's edition of the Ford Lions Report Live, you'll have an opportunity to win the first official football ever signed by both Calvin Johnson and Herman Moore.
It's one of the greatest collectibles a Lions fan could want.
You have to be watching to win, because I will share with you a keyword that you'll have to use on the entry form, which you'll find at the WXYZ.com contest page .
Make sure to tune in this Saturday as we get you ready for the Lions primetime battle with the Falcons - you might just pick up an unexpected holiday gift!
