The Blackhawks were unable to score after Kindl was called for hooking with 4:45 to as Brandon Saad was skating unabated to the net.
Chicago pulled goalie Corey Crawford with just under two minutes to play and Dan Cleary scored an empty-net goal to make the final 2-0.
