DETROIT - Nobody in the Red Wings dressing room wanted to talk about cleaning out their lockers in April.
Yet there they were, discussing what it takes to get back to the level reached in annual fashion in Detroit just a few years ago.
Questions filled the room. Will Johan Franzen be bought out? Is Mike Babcock entering a lame duck year as head coach or will his contract be extended?
Ken Holland had some answers, but spent much of his discussion with the media on the defensive. The Red Wings general manager explained the organization's long-term plans and the evolution of the league.
