DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Sacramento Kings have drafted Michigan product Nik Stauskas with the No. 8 pick in the NBA draft.
The Big Ten Player of the year sank 44 percent of his three-pointers as a freshman, and over 40 percent as a sophomore during his playing days in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Stauskas, who grew up near Toronto, is also known for his dunking abilities on the court. However, one of the biggest concerns about Stauskas has been about his defense.
Stauskas was instrumental in helping Michigan punch its ticket to the national championship game as a freshman, and helped lead the Wolverines to the Elite Eight last season.
Many NBA analysts describe Stauskas as one of the most productive shooters in this years draft.
