(WXYZ) - The Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons were at Ford Field for a Saturday night showdown.

11:37 p.m. That's it at Ford Field. The Falcons win it 31-18 and clinch home field advantage and the best record in the NFC.
11:26 p.m. ... and then on the very next play the Lions defense stuff Atlanta for the safety. It's a 31-18 Falcons lead.
11:25 p.m. The Lions go for it on 4th and 1 from the 2, but fail to complete it. Falcons ball with 1:28 left.
11:15 p.m. Calvin Johnson breaks Jerry Rice's record for receiving yards in a season on a 26 yard pass from Matthew Stafford.
11:13 p.m. The Falcons add a field goal for a 31-16 lead.
11:05 p.m. Matthew Stafford throws an interception to Asante Samuel while trying to force it to Calvin Johnson. Falcons ball in Lions' territory.
11:01 p.m. Matt Ryan connects with tight end Michael Palmer for another Falcons touchdown and a 28-16 lead.
10:47 p.m. Another Jason Hanson field goal cuts the Falcons lead to 21-16.
10:42 p.m. End of the third quarter and Calvin Johnson is just four yards from the all time receiving yards in a season record.
10:25 p.m The Lions defense got a big stop to start the second half and the offense follows it up with a big drive of their own. Mikel Leshoure finishes it off with a one yard touchdown run to cut the Falcons lead to 21-13.
9:56 p.m. Jason Hanson boots a 34 yard field goal to give the Lions 3 more points, but it's still a 21-6 Falcons lead as we head to half time.
9:49 p.m. Julio Jones just gets his feet down in the back corner of the end zone for another Falcons touchdown. They now lead it 21 to 3 with 1:17 left in the 1st half.
9:24 p.m. Roddy White again burns the Lions defense, this time for a 39 yard touchdown run and a 14-3 Falcons lead.
9:11 p.m. Lions fail to make it into the end zone, but Jason Hanson puts them on the board with a 34 yard field goal. 7-3 Falcons lead with :13 to play in first quarter.
8:59 p.m. Roddy White beats Chris Houston for a 44 yard touchdown reception and the extra point turns it into a 7-0 Atlanta lead.
8:57 p.m. Johnson's 49 yard reception means he has now broken Herman Moore's single-season receiving mark. 131 yards to pass Jerry Rice.
8:54 p.m. Calvin Johnson powers the Lions down the field with a 49 yard reception ... and on the very next play Mikel Leshoure fumbles it away to the Falcons. 1st and 10 from the Atlanta 31.
8:40 p.m. And we're underway at Ford Field. The Lions get the ball first at their own 20 after the Falcons send the opening kickoff through the end zone.
7:52 p.m. We're about a half hour from kickoff and the fans are pouring into Ford Field.
