DETROIT (WXYZ) - It appears that the best prep basketball player in the state of Michigan will be leaving the state.
Josh Jackson announced that he will no longer attend Detroit Consortium. In an online interview with "1 Nation TV" Jackson made his decision after speculation of leaving the school.
The video concludes with Jackson stating "I will be out in California". Until this interview, Jackson had never met with the media about his intentions.
The 6'7" forward averaged 28 points and 15 rebounds with Consortium and was named the AP Class C Player of the Year. Rivals ranks Jackson as the No.1 player for the 2016 class. The forward also led his team to the Class C championship this past March.
Jackson has offers from several schools including Kansas, Memphis, and Ohio State.
