Logan looking to expand role with Lions

Stefan Logan found his niche with the Detroit Lions last year as an electrifying kick returner.

He totaled a combined 1,610 yards in the 2010 season, highlighted by a 105-yard kickoff return against the St. Louis Rams, which tied a team record.

Logan first made a splash with the BC Lions in the CFL in 2008, rushing 122 times for 889 yards and making 52 catches for 477 yards and three touchdowns. After that great season, he was picked up by Pittsburgh, and in 2009 he broke the Steelers single-season record for return yards.

After joining the Lions in 2010, Logan was named a Pro Bowl alternate for the NFC.

While his role on special teams is already defined, Logan is looking to expand his duties in the offense, mixing his skills as a running back with his speed as a wide receiver.  He likely will be used in the multiple-receiver sets.
