Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook getting No. 1 snaps, freshman Damion Terry right behind

When Michigan State released its depth chart ahead of Saturday's game against Youngstown State, iit may have displayed one thing about the quarterback position, but what it read was the same as it has all season.

Confusion.

All four quarterbacks on the roster, Andrew Maxwell, Connor Cook, Tyler O'Connor, and Damion Terry, were all listed at the top of the depth chart with the word 'OR' next to each name.

The Spartans are 2-0, but have failed to display any rhythm on offense. Mark Dantonio said Tuesday Cook will get first team reps in practice, with the freshman Cook getting the next highest batch of snaps.

Dantonio answered questions for roughly 30 minutes Tuesday, most pertaining to the perplexing quarterback situation.

"You think you'd find out in the spring. You think you'd find out in the summer. Obviously we did not," he said.

The Spartans head coach said it's tough to get three quarterbacks ready for a game, but said come Saturday, that could indeed happen.

"We're looking for someone to take and seize the moment there," Dantonio said.

Cook started last week, and told reporters after the game he knew since Monday he would be the guy. This came after Andrew Maxwell started the opener against Western Michigan.
