The University of Michigan women's volleyball team upset the No. 2 ranked Stanford Cardinal to advance to it's first appearance in the NCAA Final Four on Saturday evening. The Wolverines defeated the Cardinal in four sets, 20-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-20.
Junior Lexi Erwin was named Regional MVP for the Wolverines, who also got positive contributions from juniors Jennifer Cross and Molly Toon.
Michigan will now set it's sights on No. 3 Texas in a semifinal matchup on Thursday, December 13th. The semifinals and final will be held at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
