Mitch McGary was selected 21st overall in the first-round by the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night.
The University of Michigan center missed this past season after undergoing back surgery, and was suspended for a year after failing a drug test.
Following his stellar freshman season, where he averaged a double-double in the NCAA tournament, McGary led the Wolverines to the national title game against Louisville.
According to basketball experts, McGary has a lot of upside after only playing one full season in college. Many NBA draft analysts also say that McGary is very energetic with a high basketball IQ.
McGary's conditioning is a cause for concern as there is one major glaring issue in terms of his durability. After his freshman year, McGary elected to have back surgery and missed this past season.
Many NBA insiders said that McGary was -- without a doubt -- a first-round lottery pick for the 2013 draft.
