DETROIT (WXYZ) - Kentavious Caldwell-Pope continued his hot shooting summer, nailing a three point shot with just seconds left to give the Detroit Pistons an 80-78 win over the Miami Heat in NBA Summer League action in Orlando, Florida.
Caldwell-Pope scored 26 points after recovering from a sprained ankle in the second quarter to key the Pistons third straight win. His game winning shot came with 6.6 seconds left in the contest.
Caldwell-Pope has scored 82 points in three games and has shown a confident shooting stroke so far this summer. He is making a strong case for most outstanding player at the Orlando Summer League with his scoring outbursts.
Ian Miller scored 16 points for the Pistons while former Detroit Titans center Eli Holman scored 10 points with nine rebounds for Miami. Holman played overseas last season.
