DETROIT (WXYZ) - Participates for the 2013 Chevrolet Home Run Derby were announced Monday and named among them was Tigers first baseman Prince Fielder.
Fielder, who has 15 home runs on the season, will join American League derby captain Robinson Cano of the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles first baseman Chris Davis as the AL representatives.
The fourth member of the team has yet to be selected.
They'll compete against some of the best hitters in the National League, including derby captain David Wright of the New York Mets, Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper and Colorado Rockies outfielders Carlos Gonzalez and Michael Cuddyer.
Fielder is the defending All-Star Home Run Derby champion and also won the event in 2009 in St. Louis. He's the second player behind Ken Griffey Jr. to have multiple derby titles.
