DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Minnesota Timberwolves selected Glenn Robinson III 40th in the second-round Thursday night.
Robinson III, was part of the University of Michigan sophomore class that featured McGary and Stauskas. The small forward averaged 16.2 points and 4.4 rebounds per game in his final season with the Wolverines.
NBA experts say Robinson III shows tremendous athleticism and is productive in transition. But however, some NBA scouts say his defense is suspect, which would present a challenging transition to the NBA.
Robinson III is the son of Purdue great Glenn Robinson who was selected No. 1 overall in the 1994 NBA draft.
