The Detroit Tigers show off a new starting lineup for Game 4 of the American League Championship Series against the Boston Red Sox Wednesday night.
Longtime leadoff hitter Austin Jackson drops to eighth after only one hit in the first three games of the series. The following two through eight hitters of yesterday's Game 3 lineup bump up a spot.
This means right fielder Torii Hunter bats leadoff for the first time since July 4, 1999 against the Tigers.
Shortstop Jose Iglesias returns to the starting lineup batting in the nine slot. The move forces Jhonny Peralta back from shortstop to left field.
Manager Jim Leyland makes the moves after falling 2-1 in the series
On the mound the Tigers still send Doug Fister to face Red Sox starter Jake Peavy.
