(WXYZ) - Da'Shawn Hand is going to Alabama.
Perceived by most as the nation's top high school football player, Hand announced his decision in front of his Woodbridge High School classmates in Virginia on Thursday.
The 6'4" 260 lb. defensive lineman chose the Crimson Tide over Michigan and Florida. He visited Ann Arbor during the Wolverines win over Notre Dame, but said two visits to Alabama and the winning tradition swayed his choice.
An explosive force, Hand is seen as an instant impact player at the next level.
