Stephen Clark has been a member of the Action News family since 2001. He anchors Action News at 6 and 11 with Diana Lewis and Action News at 7 with Carolyn Clifford.
Since July 4th, 1977 when she signed on as co-anchor of "Action News at 5:30," Detroiters have trusted Diana Lewis to guide them through stories large and small, good and bad. Now, three decades later, Diana continues to be one of the most recognized and respected faces in local television as anchor of Action News at 5 and 6 p.m.
A native Detroiter, Carolyn Clifford anchors the 7 p.m. newscast and the 11 p.m. with Stephen Clark. Carolyn has been working in broadcast journalism for more than 17 years.
Alicia is co-anchor of Action News This Morning from 4:30 a.m - 7:00 a.m.
JoAnne Purtan is co-anchor of Action News at Noon and 5 p.m. JoAnne joined WXYZ in 1998. Before coming home to Detroit, she worked as an anchor/reporter at WRGB TV in Albany, New York. Her work has been nominated for close to a dozen Emmy awards.
Vic Faust is co-anchor of Action News This Morning and Action News at Noon.
Weather
Dave Rexroth was named Chief Meteorologist at WXYZ in August 2010. Every day during the 5 p.m., 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts, Dave provides the latest weather updates and forecasts for all of southeast Michigan.
It’s the four distinct seasons that lured Keenan Smith away from the tropical weather in sunny Florida to forecast the weather here in Michigan.
Edwards began his career as a weathercaster in the U.S. Air Force. He was one of the first meteorologists with The Weather Channel in Atlanta, before moving on to forecast at WISN-TV in Milwaukee.
Hally joins Channel 7 from WZZM 13, the ABC affiliate in Grand Rapids, where she recently served as the weekday morning and noon meteorologist for 7 years. Born and raised in Ohio, near Lake Erie, Hally is no stranger to the frequently changing weather in the Great Lakes.
Sports
When he was growing up, Don Shane would run outside and grab the newspaper before anyone else. He wanted to be the first to see the sports section each morning.
Tom Leyden anchors sports for Action News Weekend and hosts the Sunday Sports Update. He also reports during the week for the Channel 7 sports team.
Brad Galli is a hometown guy who understands the passion of the Detroit sports fan. He grew up in Detroit and is inspired by ordinary people in the city doing extraordinary things
Ed Fernandez, age 47, is a Michigan native with a distinguished career as a broadcast executive. He rose through the ranks at stations in Grand Rapids and, most recently, served as president and general manager of WSNS Telemundo in Chicago.
Stokes joined the station in 1981 and serves as moderator and producer of "Spotlight On The News," Detroit's longest-running weekly news and public affairs show.
