DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Detroit Police Department has released pictures of a suspect in the fatal shooting of a 47-year-old man that occurred Saturday evening on Detroit's east side.
It happened at the BP Gas Station at 8 Mile and Dequindre.
Police say that the 47-year-old victim and a 21-year-old woman were sitting in a car when they were approached by the suspect at around 6:25 p.m. Saturday evening.
Officers say the suspect opened fire, fatally wounding the man and hitting the woman in the leg. He then ran from the scene.
Police describe the man as 5'10" with a slim build and dark complexion. At the time he had braided hair. It is believed that he arrived at the gas station in a white Buick Rendezvous with accident damage to the front passenger side.
Officers say there was another person in the vehicle when it arrived at the station. No description has been provided of that person.
Officers are also looking for the driver of an orange colored Chevy Avalanche that was in the area at the time of the shooting. It is believed that person may have information related to the case.
