Perfect weather to view the International Space Station tonight

(WXYZ) - Clear skies will create the perfect evening to view the International Space Station (ISS) tonight.

While it's not particularly rare to catch an ISS flyover, the weather will be more than cooperative for this prime pass over Metro Detroit that will only last several minutes.

This show will begin at 8:31 p.m. on Thursday night with the satellite moving from the west/southwest sky before fading in the north/northeast sky.

On Friday, the ISS will be visible on Friday at 7:43 p.m. for 5 minutes. The satellite will move from the southwest to the east/northeast.

If you're not sure what to look for, the ISS will appear as the brightest star gliding across the evening sky.

Here's a link for exact times and sky positions .  Enjoy!
