(WXYZ) - It's an active weather day along Lake Michigan today as waterspouts are popping up along the shoreline.
WZZM, the ABC affiliate in Grand Rapids, provided us with the pictures accompanying this article. They were sent in from viewers who spotted the waterspout.
According to a tweet from the National Weather Service office for Northern Indiana, a waterspout was observed in the area of St. Joseph. The waterspout in the pictures was spotted about a half hour north, near South Haven.
The National Weather Service has issued a Beach Hazards statement for the western Michigan coast. It says high wave action and both strong currents and Rip currents are expected from St. Joseph to Manistee.
