(WXYZ) — With the sun shining and breeze blowing in metro Detroit this weekend, it's the perfect time to hit the town with family and friends.

Here's a list of 7 things to do in your neighborhood:

1. Dally in the Alley

Dally in the Alley, a celebration of art, music, food and community, has taken place near Wayne State University. The music scene around here is eclectic and thriving. Tons of local bands, food stands and artist booths stretch from Hancock to Forest, making Dally one of the most definitively Detroit festivals.

Date & Time: Saturday, Sept. 7 from 11 a.m. to midnight

2. Arts & Apples Festival

Arts & Apples features 16 live music acts on the main stage, a kids zone for tikes and fresh apple treats for everyone and more than 250 fine artists from all across the country!

3. Plymouth Fall Festival

The Plymouth Fall Festival is a world-class event in beautiful downtown Plymouth that is exciting and fun for the whole family. The event is committed to providing an opportunity for non-profit community organization to fundraise and continue the great work they do!

4. County Oakland Irish Fest

The County Oakland Irish Fest is a free street fair with music that celebrates Irish Culture in Oakland County.The event features two music stages, Irish dancers, pipers, a Cultural Tent and the “Men’s Best Legs in a Kilt” contest. The street is filled with Irish and Non-Irish vendors as well as a children’s area with crafts, games and a fairy door scavenger hunt.

5. Farewell to the Penguins at the Detroit Zoo

It’s the final weekend to visit the penguins at the zoo. The Polk Penguin Conservatory at the Detroit Zoo is closing for repairs after this weekend on Monday, September 9th and will won’t re-open again until next summer – so head there this weekend before it closes!

Date & Time: Saturday, Sept. 7 - Sunday, Sept. 8

6. Universoul Circus at the Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre

The Universoul Circus is in the Motor City. It's a highly interactive combo of theater, arts and music celebrating urban pop culture and cultural diversity.

7. Jonas Brothers at Little Caesars Arena

After building overwhelming anticipation, Grammy® nominated multi-platinum powerhouse trio the Jonas Brothers announced the details for their 40-city “Happiness Begins Tour" this summer and fall with special guests Bebe Rexha and Jordan McGraw.
