Kellen is a little boy with a big heart, and a big story.

At just 2-years-old, Kellen was diagnosed with a rare cancer called neuroblastoma. He went through many rounds of chemotherapy, antibody therapy, a stem cell transplant and twelve days of radiation.

Last April, the Livonia boy had a clear scan and was in remission. Sadly, it only lasted three months.

Now 4-years-old, Kellen is fighting hard once again. He has already had three more rounds of chemotherapy and twelve more days of radiation.

The next step in Kellen's treatment is two new trials. Unfortunately, the treatments are not available here in Michigan. That means Kellen and his family will have to travel to a hospital in New York City about a dozen times in the coming months.

On Thursday, October 27 the organization KIDSgala threw an extravagant party for Kellen, his family and his friends at The Inn at St. John's in Plymouth.
