Love Your Melon is helping children who are battling cancer by selling hats.

Founded at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota in 2012, the company "began with the simple idea of putting a hat on every child battling cancer in America."

Now, with the help of more than 2,500 college students at 225 schools across the country, they are selling hats nationwide.

The hats are made in the USA and sell for around $30 with half of the proceeds going to the Pinky Swear Foundation and CureSearch.

Kennedy Shea and Olivia Hawley, both on the Love Your Melon Campus Crew at Saginaw Valley State University, joined 7 Action News This Morning to talk about the Love Your Melon brand.
