DETROIT (WXYZ) — Shakespeare in Detroit (SiD), the nonprofit organization that pioneered park performances of the Bard’s work in the city, is aiming to continue its cadence of free, accessible theater for all.

Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP) has partnered with SiD for its outdoor productions for seven years, helping it launch its first full onstage play, Othello, at Grand Circus Park. The organization will host the theatre company in one of the city’s most dynamic public spaces, Campus Martius, for The Merry Wives of Windsor, July 23-26, 2020.
