Henry Ford Museum to celebrate Black History Month with weekend events

DEARBORN, Mich. (WXYZ) - February is Black History Month and starting February 1, Henry Ford Museum will celebrate with different activities for museum visitors.
Each weekend in February, the Henry Ford will explore a different aspect of African-American history, including the northern migration, roots of civil rights history, and the triumphs and challenges African-Americans face in the present day.
There will be different activities everywhere in the museum, including at the Michigan Cafe. Visitors can expect to see a variety of African-American inspired recipes that are only available during Black History Month.
The events will take place on February 1-2, 5-9, 12-16, 19-23 and 26-28, 2014.
Members of the Henry Ford can get in free, but the admission cost for adults age 13-61 is $17, seniors 62 and up is $15, children from 5-12 is $12.50. Children under 5 are free. Parking is $5 per car for the events.
