Plymouth Ice Festival fills downtown Plymouth with ice sculptures, competitions and family fun

Saturday & Sunday Only

PLYMOUTH, Mich. (WXYZ) - Instead of sliding around on icy roads, enjoy ice transformed into art. This weekend is a chance for you to check out some beautiful ice sculptures!  It's the annual Plymouth Ice Festival.

Downtown Plymouth is known for outstanding festivals and community events. The 2014 Plymouth Ice Festival will be a presentation of fantastic frosty sculptures that are over 10 feet tall. Visitors will see carvers creating highly detailed pieces of art throughout the event.

There will also be plenty of other activities going on for the entire family, including the speed ice carving competition. You can also expect to see college ice carving teams from local culinary schools, an art exhibit and you can visit the Plymouth Historical Museum.

Adults can enjoy a party at the "Ice Bar", complete with drink specials and live music.

The Festival runs from 10 A.M until 10 P.M. in downtown Plymouth on Saturday and ends on Sunday when it runs 10 A.M. until 6 P.M.
