The world hasn't let it go: six years after "Frozen" debuted in movie theaters, the sequel to Disney's popular children's movie will be released.

Disney recently posted the "Frozen 2" trailer, which states the movie will be in theaters in November. Check out the trailer out here, or watch below.

The original "Frozen" was announced in 2011 and hit theaters in 2013. It's plot centered on Princess Elsa of Arendelle, who possesses paranormal powers that allow her to control and create ice and snow.

The songs in "Frozen" were written and composed by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, a husband-and-wife songwriting team.

For an idea of just how popular "Frozen" has been: In 2014 alone the film earned $3.99 billion in sales. In July 2016, Forbes published an article calling "The Frozen Effect" on merchandising "too much." The article said the licensing merchandise for the movie earned nearly equal what the box office money brought to Disney, but said merchandisers were hurt by a "freeze out." Basically, if they carried "Frozen" merch and it had an overwhelming presence, other attractive licenses weren't available.

A licensing industry expert called it "brand fatigue."

Still, "Frozen" is a beloved franchise, with children throughout the world continuing to dress up in character costumes when they play or participate in Halloween events.

It's one of the highest-selling animation films ever, only behind "Finding Nemo" and "Toy Story 3" and just ahead of "Monsters, Inc." and "Despicable Me 2." The Shrek films fall just after that in the line of earnings.
