AAA Michigan: Statewide gas prices drop 14 cents

(WXYZ) — Gas prices in Michigan dropped 14 cents compared to a week ago, AAA Michigan reports.

Drivers are now paying an average of $2.51 per gallon for regular unleaded. The price is 14 cents less than this time last month and 29 cents less than this time last year.

Motorists are paying an average of $38 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline.

Compared to last week, metro Detroit’s average daily gas price decreased. Metro Detroit’s current average is $2.55 per gallon.

The most expensive gas prices averages were found in Ann Arbor ($2.61), Metro Detroit ($2.55) and Marquette ($2.53.) The least expensive were found in Saginaw ($2.38), Flint ($2.42) and Grand Rapids ($2.45.)
