Arrest made in recent Northville Township home invasions

Northville Township's Public Safety Department says an arrest has been made in recent home invasions in the township.

The department says a 37-year-old man was arrested in Lima, Ohio Friday night. No other information was released.

People who live in Northville Township are asked to continue locking their doors at all times.

The Northville Township Police Department is looking for a man who attempted to enter homes late at night.

Police say on June 15, police received a report of an unknown man attempting to gain access to homes between 2:30 and 3 a.m. The attempted home invasions occurred in the neighborhoods off of Six Mile Road between Sheldon and Beck.

The man was seen on home video footage wearing all dark clothing, a ski mask over his face and gloves.

At this time, there's no indication that he successfully entered a home, police say.

The Northville Township Police Department requests that residents report all suspicious people, vehicles, noises and circumstances immediately to the police department.

Police also ask to leave exterior lights on during hours of darkness.
