Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign

Help Rescue Christmas
Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign

The need has always been there. This year, it’s greater than ever for the most vulnerable – those who may be choosing between paying rent or buying Christmas presents for their children, getting their medications or putting food on the table for their family. In a year with fewer red kettles, The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit is asking for the community’s help to Rescue Christmas for those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

A sustaining $25 monthly gift will help support The Salvation Army’s much-needed critical social services and programs including Pathway of Hope, The Salvation Army William Booth Legal Aid Clinic, The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services, The Salvation Army Harbor Light drug and alcohol rehabilitation program, Detroit Medical Respite, and more.

Last year, The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit helped provide:

  • More than 2.5 million meals
  • Nearly 580,000 nights of shelter
  • Nearly 167,000 Christmas toys and gifts for children and seniors
  • More than 2,300 children the opportunity to visit Echo Grove Camp & Conference Center
  • Resolution of nearly 1,800 legal issues through the William Booth Legal Aid Clinic
