Cadillac introduces quicker, lighter, more agile 2015 ATS Coupe & new crest logo

Cadillac's all-new ATS Coupe is quicker, lighter and more agile according to the automaker.

Launching in the summer of '14, it is Cadillac's first compact luxury coupe with ATS agility.

"It is an exclusively distinctive American alternative, unique in its class, yet delivering a sporty and sophisticated driving experience rivaling the world's best," said Uwe Ellinghaus, chief marketing officer, Global Cadillac.

The 2.0L Turbo engine is an upgrade from the current ATS sport sedan and delivers nearly 14 percent more torque. It's zero to 60 time is 5.6 seconds.

"More power with less weight is always a better combination for performance, and the ATS Coupe offers one of the best power-to-weight ratios in the segment, making it feel lighter, more direct and responsive," said David Leone, Cadillac executive chief engineer.

All New Logo

Alongside the ATS reveal, Cadillac introduced it's new crest which will begin to appear on vehicles in the second half of 2014.

Sleeker and streamlined, the revised Crest first appeared on the Elmiraj concept in 2013.

"This new Crest matches the lower, longer, leaner mantra of our current car designs, and reflects the evolution of our Art and Science philosophy," said Andrew Smith, Cadillac executive design director.
