DETROIT (WXYZ) - Chevrolet's Corvette Stingray was named North American Car of the Year at the start of the North American International Auto Show Monday morning.
The award is voted upon by a panel of automotive journalists each year.
The Stingray 2014 was up against the Cadillac CTS and Mazda 3.
Earlier, Chevy's Silverado won Truck of the Year honors.
