Truck driver Matt Mingay was injured after a second lap crash in the SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Truck Series race on Saturday on Belle Isle.

During the second lap of the race, Mingay flipped his truck.

According to race control, Mingay is in serious but stable condition.

The timed race was stopped after the crash.

According to his Facebook page, Mingay is a professional stunt driver and entertainer. He was also named Australia's No. 1 Stuntrider and Action Sports Athlete.

He posted on his Facebook page this morning, "Didn't have the best race yesterday in SST. Tried the smooth flowing approach rather than my usual aggressive style of driving. Cleary it didn't work for me coming in at 9th Place of 12 drivers. Don't have a scratch on my truck though."
