(WXYZ) - There's a new Medicare phone scam going around you need to be aware of if you're older, or have parents or loved ones who are.
Someone calls, claiming they're from Medicare, and they've got information like your name, address and phone number. All they need from you is your bank account number to set up new Medicare benefits. Don't give it to them! It's a scam.
The Better Business Bureau has just issued an alert about this scam, saying Medicare will never call you to send you a new card, or to confirm account numbers.
