With millions of cell phone users bombarded by unwanted robocalls every day, the big cell phone carriers are finally taking notice.

Verizon, AT&T and T Mobile have launched services to block cell phone spam. T-Mobile's may go the furthest. It checks that incoming call instantly to see if it's a legitimate business or a known caller. If not, it flags it as a possible scam.

This new feature is free for T-Mobile customers. AT&T's service, free for it's wireless customers, is called "Call Protect," and flags suspicious numbers. Verizon says it's computers are now automatically blocking known spam calls. Though it also has a partnership with the call blocker Nomorobo for five dollars a month.
