(WXYZ) — Michigan State Police conducted 114 traffic stops during its "Drive Right Wednesday" crackdown.
Police targeted drivers on M-59 and M-53 in Oakland and Macomb counties on Wednesday, a joint traffic initiative with the Oakland County Sheriff's Office and Macomb County Sheriff's Office. They also targeted drivers on the Lodge Freeway.
Police say the stops included driving too slow, failing to use signal, speeding, careless driving, texting, open intoxicants and failure to yield to emergency vehicle.
A total of 46 citations were issued during the four hours of the Lodge detail, MSP says.
