DETROIT (WXYZ) — Emmanuel – or “Manny” as he likes to be called -- has been waiting to be adopted since May of 2017. He is currently in Michigan foster care.

“I like to go to Chuck E. Cheese for the video games and the pizza,” he said.

He also enjoys being outdoors.

“I like to play soccer. I like to play in the playground,” he explained.

He’s described as a “caring, loving and very happy boy,” according to a person close to him. “He is a very curious boy and enjoys learning new things."

Like many boys, he enjoys being active and likes playing games – especially Mario Cart and Minecraft.

“Yeah. I love video games. I like to play Minecraft. I have one thing on Minecraft where we can, uh, make the zombies,” said Manny.

He also gets creative building with Legos, loves riding his bike, and has fun learning about animals.

Reading is one of his favorite activities because it fuels his already great imagination.

He likes to pretend his Spider-Man and Batman action figures are rescuing victims from villains.

As for adoption, he hopes to find a future Mom and Dad soon.

“I would like a family that would do nice things for me,” he said softly.

He would also like to stay in touch with his siblings.
