Most pre-teen girls are into playing with makeup, not creating it.

But, a 12-year-old from Shelby Township is an entrepreneur, selling her own beauty line.

Adonai Alexander said, "I wanted something I can play around with and I never liked the kiddie makeup."

That is how Adonai came up with the idea of creating her own line of cosmetics and beauty products.

She launched with eight sheer and scented lip glosses.

Adonai wanted makeup for young girls that had quality, so she came up with "Fruitti Tutti Beauty."

She said, "It rhymes and fits the products perfectly."

Evelyn Alexander is Adonai's Mother.

"She started making potions and things in our kitchen and said, 'this is what I want to do.' Studying different minerals and oils and fragrances," she said.

Adonai's mother took her dreams seriously, so they went to New York to study the process of creating lip glosses.

Evelyn explained, "Talk with and sat with a chemist. Talked about formulations and they started testing things out with her."

Adonai launched the line of lip glosses at a ribbon cutting event over the weekend.

She also spoke to young girls about creating a vision board.

Adonai said, "Write down your dream and you can accomplish it."

Since the launch, they've been selling lip glosses all over the country.

Adonai has plans to expand her business with bath fizzy, sugar scrubs, eye shadows and blushes.

Evelyn added, "For every parent I always say, 'make sure you really listen because they are telling you who they are all the time.'"

And this is just the beginning for this young entrepreneur.

She said, "Have a lot more businesses to come."

The lip glosses sell for $9.
