BRIGHTON, Mich. (WXYZ) — Police say two people were stabbed Tuesday afternoon at a laundromat in Brighton.

According to a release, a woman was arrested following the stabbing.

The incident happened just before 12:30 p.m. at 701 W. Grand River near Cross Street.

The initial dispatch call stated that a woman in her 30s was stabbing customers, and as officers were responding to the scene, dispatch said that the woman was stabbing herself.

However, when police arrived, they found that the female suspect had stabbed two people and attempted to stab a third person before holding the knife against her own stomach.

Police were able to take the woman into custody without injury to themselves or injuries to the woman.

One of the stab victims was treated at the scene while the other is being treated at a hospital. The suspect was also transported to a hospital.

Police say charges will be sent to the Livingston County Prosecutor's office for review.
