Three massage spas were raided in Waterford on July 19 for operating illegally, according to Waterford police.
The following spas were raided:
- Sun Spa, 935 W. Huron Road
- Massage Oasis, 4225 Highland Road
- Brownstone Therapy, 1431 Airport Road
Police say an investigation was conducted over several months regarding the spas and undercover officers were able to establish that the women at these locations were allegedly offering sex for money.
The investigation also revealed that all three were operating as unlicensed massage establishments; none of them were licensed or had ever applied for a license.
Police say the manager at each location was issued a violation for operating a massage establishment without a license.
