The 36th District Court in Detroit is giving people a chance to get back on the road by waiving late fees and warrant costs.

According to the court website, they are allowing people to pay their tickets in full, and avoid all late fees, penalties and warrant costs. That includes all adjudicated cases where fines and costs have been assessed.

The court is located at 421 Madison in downtown Detroit. They take cash, check, credit card or money order for payment in person. They want to remind you that clearance fees cannot be waived.

Elimination of the state's driver responsibility fees is effective Oct. 1. If your license is suspended for offenses other than driver responsibility fees, such as failing to respond to a Michigan traffic citation, you must resolve those matters before your license can be reinstated.
